Apple sent iPhone 5 to carriers for testing

Latest reports claimed that Apple sent iPhone5 to carriers for pre launch testing. The phone is sent in black boxes to higher ranked staff. Reportedly, black boxes are deliberately used to rule out any possibility of mixing iPhone5 with existing stock.

After this network compatibility testing iPhone5 will go into mass production and hopefully hit the market in October.

iPhone is the most popular and preferred smartphone among travelers paying for in-flight WiFi.

 

 

Latest report says that two-thirds of Gogo in-flight WiFi users favor the iPhone as their browsing device of choice 20% of mobile WiFi usage is attributed to the iPod touch, while Android only accounts for 12%. RIM’s Blackberry accounts for only 6% of airline WiFi usage, while Windows Phone, webOS, and other platforms don’t even claim enough of a percentage to mention.

Comparing iPhone with Android is like comparing apples with oranges. Hello!!! Android is an OS (Operating System).

iPhone 5 delayed till October

Few days back it was reported that iPhone5 is scheduled in September, but according to the latest reports “Apple is behind schedule of ordering parts that go into the manufacturing process for the device“.
